One operator for the VPS platform.
EDIS Global operates its own VPS platform and IP resources. Your service is not a resale of another provider’s VPS account. The facility and upstream connectivity are supplied by CYTA; EDIS Global operates the virtual server service. This gives you a clear point of contact for infrastructure and account issues.
A real Cyprus deployment.
The platform is physically hosted at CYTA Amathounta in Limassol. The published network is EDIS Global AS57169 with CYTA AS6866 upstream connectivity. A Cyprus IP address and physical server location are useful for a local service, but third-party geolocation databases and destination services make their own decisions.
KVM, NVMe and practical control.
KVM gives each VPS its own guest operating system. NVMe storage supports application and database workloads, while full root access lets you choose and configure your software. Plan resources and host uplink capacity are different: a shared host uplink is not a guaranteed per-VPS throughput rate.
- Install Linux with the auto-installer or use your own ISO
- Use Cloud-Init with supported operating systems
- Access the console when guest networking is unavailable
- Set reverse DNS and manage your server from the portal
Measurements with the context left in.
Our connectivity report uses a customer-plan KVM Basic VPS, not a separate high-capacity demonstration server. It retains the faster and slower paths, an unavailable ping probe and the observed ping and MTR destination loss. Two verified runs and their source files let you check the results yourself. A separate Ookla test documents throughput to one server; it is not a replacement for route testing.
Built for repeatable deployments.
Use the portal for individual machines and the documented API for supported provisioning and lifecycle operations. Check the API documentation before integration: order requests are real orders. The Traffic Pool supports shared capacity across services, with manual assignment or Auto-Hydration.
Know who manages what.
Infrastructure and account support is available around the clock. You remain responsible for the software inside an unmanaged VPS, including patching, firewall rules and backups. Resource upgrades let you grow without changing provider; some changes require a full shutdown and restart.
Cyprus can be one part of a wider deployment.
Keep applications close to their users by comparing several locations. Use Cyprus where its physical location, network paths and available resources fit your workload, and add other EDIS Global regions when they serve a different audience better.
